Spring has Sprung 2

I was so busy making cards this weekend that I am able to make a few posts. I hope you are able to catch up with me.  This post is a continuation of yesterdays floral posts.  I just love Spring and all the beautiful flowers that are in bloom and Stampin Up has so many beautiful floral stamps, that it is hard to pick a favorite.  The DSP on these cards are from last years sale-a-bration but it is still one of my very favorite DSP's that Stampin Up has offered, so I use it alot. On the last card I tried my hand at the new Bokeh technique. Take a look and feel free to make a comment.

Celebrate Spring

Supplies Needed
  • Basic Black, and Whisper White card stock.
  • Sweet Sorbet DSP
  • Momento Black ink
  • Stampin Write Markers
  • Bloom with Hope, and Perfectly Penned.
  • Squares Collection Framelits.
  • Crystal Effects.
The card base is cut at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4",  DSP  cut at 5 3/8" by 4 1/8".  Black square is cut 1/4" inch larger than the biggest square framelit on card. Glue Black square down centered on top half of card, the Stamp sentiment below.  For Center Piece,  first stamp and color your image and then lay your three framelits down on top of your image and run through the Big Shot. The outer most frame is glued flat, the next layer is popped up with dimensional, the middle layer is two dimensional high. I then used crystal effects in the center of flower. set it aside to dry.

Next use Gorgeous Grunge Stamp and Sahara Sand ink and cover square. Then with Sponge Dauber fill in flower using Pool Party ink.  I used Soft Suede to stamp sentiment. Glue image to Soft Suede piece, and use dimensional on soft suede. Put linen thread through button tie bow and place on end of ribbon.

Here is a web page with instructions on the Bokeh technique. www.stampyourartout.com/stampyourartout/2015/03/the-bokeh-technique-step-by-step-photos.html.After everything dries, and it will take a while, the layers are all glued flat. The bow is tied and placed on with a glue dot.
